Most manufacturers recommend that a watch be serviced every 3-5 years.

However, if you wear your watch frequently, especially during strenuous activity or in dusty or humid environments, you may need to have it serviced more often.

A full watch servicing will involve:

  • Complete disassembly of the case and movement.
  • Visual inspection of the components.
  • A five stage ultrasonic cleaning process to remove dirt, corrosion and degraded lubricant.
  • Replacement of damaged or worn parts.
  • Polishing of the case and bracelet.
  • Replacement of water-resistant gaskets.
  • Lubrication, reassembly and calibration of the movement.
  • “Hot” reassembly of the case, to prevent moisture entering the system.
  • Testing watch operation in six different positions to ensure it keeps time accurately.
  • Three stage pressure testing (Dry, Water and Steam)

A watch service is a comprehensive maintenance procedure for your timepiece, involving cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, and replacement of worn parts. This helps ensure the watch continues to function accurately and extends its lifespan.

Yes, servicing a watch is worth it, especially for high-quality, luxury, or sentimental timepieces. Regular servicing prevents damage, maintains accuracy, and extends the watch’s lifespan.
