At Watch Doctors, our senior watchmakers are specialists in Tissot timepiece repair, and certified to ensure your watch is serviced to manufacturer standards. As an official Tissot service centre, our Swiss-trained experts can meticulously assess, dismantle, repair or restore your beloved watch with manufacturer-approved parts and the highest level of care and craftsmanship.

We offer a complimentary examination service by drop-off to our service centres in Tring or Thame. Watch Doctors offer a complete repair solution for automatic, manual, quartz and chronograph Tissot models. Our senior watchmakers are certified by the British Horological Institute to meticulously dismantle, replace, ultrasonically clean and lubricate all timepiece components.

Our quality control measures include water resistance testing (where applicable) and full mechanical testing for a 48 hour period prior to collection or dispatch.

The shine of the case and metal bracelet are skilfully restored with a gentle polishing process to remove scratches and dents and return your timepiece to your preferred condition. All polishing is optional.

Tissot Servicing

A full Tissot service is recommended every five years to maintain full functionality. All watches are fully disassembled, examined cosmetically, cleaned and oiled, and any worn or damaged parts are replaced. The watch is then fully reassembled and tested for accuracy and water resistance before being returned to you.

No, Tissot and Mathey-Tissot are not the same company. While they both share the Tissot surname, they are entirely separate and independent watchmaking firms with their own histories and product lines. Tissot was founded in 1853 by father-and-son team Charles-Félicien and Charles-Emile Tissot. Mathey-Tissot was founded 33 years later, in 1886, by Edmond Mathey-Tissot.
