Watch Doctors offer a complete repair solution for automatic, manual, quartz and chronograph Longines models. Our senior watchmakers are certified by the British Horological Institute to meticulously dismantle, replace, ultrasonically clean and lubricate all timepiece components. 

Our quality control measures include water resistance testing (where applicable) and mechanical testing for a 48 hour period prior to collection or dispatch.

The watch is opened and its movement is carefully removed from the case. Both case and movement are then fully dismantled into their component parts to assess overall condition and prepare them for cleaning.

Refurbishment of the Case and Bracelet

The shine of the case and metal bracelet are skilfully restored with a gentle polishing process to remove scratches and dents and return your timepiece to your preferred condition. All polishing is optional.

All gaskets are replaced to ensure water resistance is maintained. The watch is then cased up “hot” to minimise exposure to moisture that could cause corrosion or accelerate wear in the future.

The watch is tested for accuracy at six different positions to ensure time is kept within official parameters at each angle. It will also undergo a three stage pressure test (Dry, Wet and Steam) to evaluate water resistance.

Longines Servicing

A full service is recommended every five years to maintain your Longines’ full functionality. All watches are fully disassembled, examined cosmetically, cleaned and oiled, and any worn or damaged parts are replaced. The watch is then fully reassembled and tested for accuracy and water resistance before being returned to you.
